In this article I’m going to give you the best men’s windproof cycling jackets.
All cycling jackets are windproof to a certain degree, so there are many options to choose from.
As to not overwhelm you with a boatload of options, I’ve trimmed the list of options to those which I deemed affordable (less than 200 dollars), but are still fully waterproof.
That way you get a lot of weather protection for a decent enough price. And the range includes options for different riding styles.
So let’s see what made it on my overview of the best men’s windproof cycling jackets.
Gore Wear Lupra cycling jacket

The Gore Wear Lupra jacket is a high-quality, relaxed-fit option for a winter cycling jacket.
Made from a combination of GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® in the front and GORE® selected fabrics in the back it’s a hooded option compatible with helmets.
The loose fit allows easy layering for increased insulation in an already durable and waterproof setup, with taped seams in the hood and shoulders.
Draw strings let you tighten the hood and hem to further protect you from the elements.
Long sleeves with pre-shaped elbows create the perfect fit when cycling and sit generously over your gloves. 2 zippered hand pockets finish this excellent design.
One of the best allround winter cycling jackets, flexible, versatile, and great-looking on and of the bike.
- Great allround and versatile winter cycling jacket that's helmet compatible
- None
Endura Hummvee Waterproof cycling jacket

The Endura Hummvee Waterproof cycling jacket is a versatile, minimalistically designed, waterproof cycling jacket.
The garment has a 2-layer polyester ripstop with sealed seams and mesh liner. This means, it’s a non-insulated waterproof jacket for riding in cold weather temperatures.
A number of reflective elements, both front and back, aid in increasing your visibility while on the road.
The single zippered back pocket and easy-access zippered breast pocket, makes for an allround, great addition to your off-season cycling wardrobe.
- Versatile, and flexible allround cycling jacket with loose fit
- Not the most breathable
Endura Urban Luminite II cycling jacket

If you value visibility you can’t go wrong with the Endura Urban Luminite II cycling jacket.
Wind- and waterproof, this jacket offers all the protection you’ll need, and large asymmetric panels let you be seen from all sides.
Made from durable polyester, the cycling jacket offers zippered ventilation slits under the arms for increased air flow.
With 1 breast pocket and 2 hand pockets, all zippered, the jacket has cinches at the waist for a more elegant look.
You can go for bright neon yellow if you really want to stand out from the crowd at night, or a more subdued pacific blue.
- Highly visible, durable, allround cycling jacket
- Asymmetric layout. Not the most breathable
Proviz Nightrider 2.0 cycling jacket

The Proviz Nightrider 2.0 jacket is the most affordable entry into this brand, which takes increased visibility more seriously than any other brand out there.
Fully water- and windproof, the cycling jacket is made from Oxford polyester w. REPREVE mesh and R360 reflective panels. It means it’s not only extremely durable and breathable, but also the most lightweight entry in Proviz’s lineup.
2 zippered pockets let you carry along things like keys and your phone.
Available in many bright colors, there’s no excuse of not being seen.
- Affordable, breathable, waterproof jacket with large reflective panels
- None
Proviz Reflect360 Outdoor cycling jacket

The Proviz REFLECT360 Outdoor jacket is your go-to option for the reflective waterproof hooded cycling jacket in the market.
The entire jacket is made from reflective R360 fabric with a highly breathable REPREVE mesh on the inside. It’s the perfect commuter jacket on busy roads, or traveling in places where there aren’t any street lights.
With 2 zippered hand pockets, and 2 zippered breast pockets there’s more than enough cargo capacity conveniently located on the front. All zippers are water-resistant.
When safety is a priority in a waterproof hooded jacket, there’s simply no better option.
- Breathable, waterproof jacket which is made entirely from reflective material. Many zippered pockets
- None
Showers Pass Syncline CC cycling jacket

The Showers Pass Syncline CC jacket is a high-quality yet very affordable option considering the amount of functionality this lightweight jacket provides.
2.4 layered waterproof fabric with taped seams, water-resistant zipper, 3M reflective tape, an adjustable hood compatible with a helmet, zippered ventilation vents on both sides, this jacket does it all and does it very well.
It’s probably the best all-round waterproof cycling jacket for the money.
- Excellent allround, waterproof cycling jacket for commuting and touring
- None
Inbike Rain Hooded Waterproof cycling jacket

In an industry where premium brands vie for making the most expensive cycling garments you can think of, the Inbike Rain Hooded Waterproof cycling jacket is a breath of fresh air.
For a decent enough price you get a 10K lightweight polyester shell with fully taped seams, which makes this an excellent waterproof addition to your cycling wardrobe.
Its single downside is the hood is not fully compatible with your average helmet, which relegates this jacket to helmetless commuting or bikepacking (my hope is any trail rider wears a helmet).
2 zippered hand pockets and reflective striping finishes this otherwise pretty allround and great design for a waterproof cycling jacket.
- Budget-friendly waterproof, allround cycling jacket
- Not helmet-compatible
Pearl Izumi Monsoon WxB cycling jacket

The Pearl Izumi Monsoon WxB Hooded jacket is a reasonably priced waterproof cycling jacket.
A double-layered 10K waterproof shell with taped seams and DWR treatment is all the protection you’ll need to stay dry in any kind of rain.
Reflective strips both front and back aid in being seen at night, and sleeve adjusters keep them in place when wearing gloves.
2 convenient hand pockets with waterproof zippers, make this an excellent addition to your cycling wardrobe.
- Waterproof cycling jacket with zippered hand pockets for easy storage
- None
Giro Chrono Expert Rain cycling jacket

The Giro Chrono Expert Rain cycling jacket provides waterproof protection in a minimal package.
With a 15K polyester ripstop fabric and sealed seams no water will have a chance of getting through.
A tight fit, no pockets, reflective elements, and back ventilation makes this a go-to option for road cyclists.
- Waterproof, no-frills cycling jacket that does an outstanding job of keeping you dry without adding bulk
- Not insulated
Giro Stow H2O cycling jacket

Should you want maximum protection in a lightweight package the Giro Stow H2O jacket is one of the best choices you can find.
With a 15K 2.5-layer polyester fabric with DWR treatment, this garment is waterproof, windproof and durable, and still somewhat affordable when compared to similar options.
It further adds to that flexibility in use, with 2 zippered hand pockets to stow away your stuff.
When not in use, pack it and stow it on your handlebars.
My personal pick for the best allround packable waterproof cycling jackets.
- Premium, waterproof, stowable jacket
